What is “Graining”?

Adding grain. And HERE you can read what “Grain” is.

The difference between “dynamic grain” and “static grain”?

Dynamic grain is the grain you often see in shows. Grain that’s always moving. Static grain on the other hand is static. It’s not moving.

Why adding “Grain”?

Grain can help against banding or sources that already suffered from heavy detail loss. The disadvatage is bloating the file size. But that only happens with dynamic grain. Static grain on the other hand has all advatages of dynamic grain, but isn’t bloating the file size.
